SCRAPS, NOTES & MADE THINGS

ABOUT / THE PERSON BEHIND THE SCRAPS

Hello, I’m
Tam.

Engineer. Writer. Restless collector of useful ideas.

I’m a machine learning engineer working on search and AI in the Bay Area.

I care about tools that help people think, software that earns trust, and writing that admits when the answer is still moving. Most of my projects begin as a small annoyance I cannot stop turning over.

This site is my memory shelf. It holds essays, experiments, and a public record of what has my attention.

01 / BUILD

Make the idea touchable.

Shipping changes the question. A working object teaches more than another week of private planning.

02 / WRITE

Find out what I think.

Writing slows a thought down enough to inspect it, remove the borrowed parts, and keep what is true.

03 / KEEP

Leave a trail back.

A personal archive is less about storage than recognition: seeing an old question and knowing why it mattered.

04 / CONTINUE

One thing at a time.

Attention is a material. Spread too thin, it makes nothing. Given enough time, it becomes a body of work.
